Fashion in ancient Ephesus was shaped by the city’s role as a major trade center, influenced by various cultures and trends. Women typically preferred the Peplos, a garment made from a rectangular piece of wool fabric, while men wore a type of cloak called the Chlaina, also made of wool.
By the Hellenistic period, Ephesus had become a trendsetting city in fashion. The Chiton, a garment known for its draped folds created by weights attached to its edges, gained popularity. Initially worn by men, it later became a favored style among women as well.
It is an example created by Dolce & Gabbana.
